Advanced DEM Simulation Software for Granular Flow Analysis

Overview

Newton is a Discrete Element Method simulation package which models the 3-D flow of granular materials under a range of various flow and cohesion conditions.

3D Geometry

Wireframe models can be directly imported via STEP, IGES, STL or DXF design files. Newton can auto-generate several types of geometry with just a few inputs.

Clusters

Particles are created by grouping spheres together to form clusters. Clusters provide a more realistic flow pattern and can be created using hundreds of spheres.

Material Properties

A variety of included constitutive equations grant a wide range of material cohesive properties and behaviors, from dry free-flowing material to wet, sticky material.

Material Testing

Engineers at AC-Tek continually update the constitutive equations through real testing of physical samples. Results are replicated in Newton to ensure accuracy.

DEM Solver

Newton’s solver allows up to 16-core multi-threading, and works on both 32 and 64-bit operating systems. Up to 20 simulation files can be queued to run in a row.
